Great School Run
The UK National Tour runs May-June 2011 with a number of mass participation events planned for various venues around the UK: www.greatschoolrun.com/about/tour.php. These are in addition to the smaller scale events that individual schools may hold. The UK National Tour events get television coverage and often have celebrity athletes in attendance.

Route for DALAP Schools Cross Country Event due to take place at Balloch Country Park on Friday the 23rd of March 2012.

West Dunbartonshire pupils braved the wind and rain to race for Scotland in the World Marathon Challenge in which hundreds of thousands of schoolchildren from around the globe simultaneously race one another.

2011 West Dunbartonshire Primary School Relay Cross Country Championships Route

With the splendid backdrop of Balloch Castle and the stunning of view of Loch Lomond along with glorious sunshine,the Cross Country Event got under way with the first race being the Primary 6 Girls.

A big vote of thanks must go to all the runners who took part with some sterling performances right across all 10 races. (Boys and Girls races from P6, P7, S1, S2 and S3)

Congratulations to all the individual medal winners and team shield winners.
