Why not be a jogscotland jog leader?


To become a fully qualified jogscotland leader you must attend the one day jog leaders training course.

The course is divided into theory and practical sessions, which will enable you with the knowledge and skill to lead groups of walkers and / or joggers. The classroom based sessions involve presentations, interactive group exercises, discussions and feedback while the practical ones look at leading beginners and mixed ability jogging groups.

The course is taking place here in Balloch, West Dunbartonshire

Lanarkshire is to host the 2011 International Children's Games, following a joint bid by North and South Lanarkshire Councils to bring the world?s biggest youth sporting event to Scotland for the first time. Up to 1,500 competitors aged 12 to 15, along with coaches, administrators and delegates from more than 70 countries will head to Lanarkshire for the International Olympic Committee-recognised event in August 2011.

Startrack - Helensburgh

Startrack Summer 2010.
Programme will be in Helensburgh, Dumbarton, Clydebank and Vale of Leven.
Athletics is the foundation for all other sports as athletes run, jump and throw across the range of disciplines.
The secret of the success of Aviva Startrack is simply the creation of a fun athletics experience in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Run Jump Throw Sportshall Athletics Final for Primary Six, was held in the Playdrome Sports Centre in Clydebank on Wednesday the 5th of May 2010, with teams of athletes came from Primary's name beow:

Clydemuir, Goldenhill, Knoxland, Our Lady of Loretto, St Mary's (Alexandria), St Mary's (Duntocher), St Michael's and St Ronan's.

Congratulations go to St Marys (Duntocher) for winning the overall event.

A special mention goes to - WDC Sports Development, Active Schools, Clydebank College and WDC Leisure Services in their support of the Sportshall Athletics.

In association with the Dumbarton Area Local Athletics Partnership, the Schools Cross Country took place at Goldenhill Park, Duntocher on Friday the 26th of March 2010 .The Schools competition will included Primary 6 , Primary 7 , Secondary S1, S2 and S3 Boys and Girls
